The title says it all.

right now i am reading a book called silver dragon codex.

i found it in the Indigo down the street and it looked interesting, but so far, all i got is a 22 year old woman, a 12 year old tightrope perfomer, and a 18 year old female juggler are about to be eaten by wolves.

what fun!

Oooh one of these threads, I just finished reading David Gremmel's Troy trilogy of books, I was kept on the edge of my seat from the first page right through to the end 1800 pages later, a REALLY good series if you want to get into the author. He primarily writes Heroes, except they're not the shining glory kind.

I've picked up some of Neil Gaiman's books and have been thumbing through them recently, I just finished up Fragile Things, a collection of short stories and the like, pretty good. Since it's Gaiman you know its chock full of creepy ass things.

It is good in most ways, though it seems to hate details with a passion. They got away with not explaining what all the districts produced in the first, but it makes no sense that you still don't know in the second.

Yea that was sad, worst Naval Special Warfare disaster since WWII. And it happened before in 2006, some SEALs were killed on a rescue mission for 4 other SEALs. They need to get rid of Chinooks, they are slow and they've been around since the 50s, huge risk.

OK... well maybe that goes a bit far, however they did suck and truly lacked originality which is a common problem in the fantasy genre. It's questionable whether or not they ever would have made it to publication if his family were not in the business.

Coming from someone who has read them all, I disagree. I hate his long winded, needle in a haystack kind of writing. You can read an entire chapter where the point was a single sentence in the middle and the rest is all useless. The show does a much better job of capitalizing what is actually relevant. Not to say that they are bad books, I just don't like his writing style
