This is for everyone to post what types of books or comics they read and why.
I personally enjoy Science Fiction, and am currently reading the Dune Triology, which is pretty awesome *On God Emperor of Dune*.

For this series I actually only read the Twig Saga (books 1-3) but from those books I'm quite sure the rest of the series is great as well.

The Inheritance Cycle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inheritance_Cycle)

which consists of the books Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and a yet-to-be released 4th book is an awesome series in my opinion. Try not to let the horrible Eragon movie make you think the book/s wouldn't be good.

Obviously I'm a fan of fantasy. :amuse:

I cringe every time someone starts to talk about how good the Inheritance Cycle is.
It's really not that good.. There are so many better written fantasy books out there that to me it shows that you either haven't read that many or only read what is currently out and talked about. Sign up for good reads and I'll send you a massive must read list.

I generally read any genre out there as long as it is good, but fantasy would probably be the most extensive list.

Popular Authors: Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, R.A. Salvatore, Orson Scott Card, Dan Brown, Stephen King(older titles)...

There hasn't been much time for me to read the past couple of years, about 5 dozen books still in boxes scattered about my house, but I tend to spend my time reading about other things such as hobbies/home and garden, etc..

Once i find that damn copy of The Count of Monte Cristo that apparently vanished into thin air, I should get back on track.

My preference is generally psychological thrillers and mysteries with tragedy, love, and good old fashioned violence of the deepest and darkest of human nature.

I usually stick to sci-fi or fantasy unless a author i like has a book in a different genre.
reading some random warhammer books atm. finished the foundation trilogy recently, that was pretty good.
also reading cats cradle, which isnt that bad

favorite authors have to be Orson Scott card, Issac Asimov, frank herbert and drawing a blank on the couple of guys who write for the dragonlance series
