Item Description

This is 2 sticks of RAM with 2GB on each one (DDR3) for $94.99.

I ordered this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303&cm_re=G.SKILL_Ripjaws_Series_4GB_(2_x_2GB)_240-Pin_DDR3-_-20-231-303-_-Product) and never opened it because it is DDR3. My motherboard only supports DDR2, and therefore I have leftover RAM I do not need at the moment.

Price

$94.99

hey... can you use both ddr2 and ddr3 at the same time? do you need a specific mobo for that? don't really know what is required.

i'm interested but just don't know if i could even use it. :p

AFAIK, you can't use a DDR3 unless a motherboard supports it. I also hear that motherboards that supports DDR3 does not support DDR2 (not sure about this information).

Which means (and don't quote me on this) DDR3 can't be used with DDR2 at the same time.

i can only think of one motherboard that supports both ddr2 and ddr3, but in separate slots, unfortunatly even though ddr2 has the same amount of pins and can fit into ddr3 slot, it is not compatable. this is due to the power that the ram needs to opperate supplied by the motherboard

Can I have it for free? I'm too poor to buy real items myself. Back on topic, how much did you buy those to start with?

No, you cannot use ddr2 and ddr3 at the same time. Your not even suppose to use ddr3 at 2 different frequencies at the same time.

Bump.

It seems Newegg has upped this item on its price tag to $119.99. I'm still asking for $94.99.

That's fine, take your time. This RAM isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I'd just like to get it off my hands.
