Color Tutorial...
First, its basically the same concept for Gimp and Photoshop, so, yeah.

1. Open up a new document.

2. Create two layers on top of your regular layer.

If you don't know how to, go to your layers tab and right click on the background, new layer, and make sure transparency is checked.

^I made a mistake, on the bottom layer you want to add your background color.

3. On the middle layer, create whatever effects you want. Dont worry, you can edit it later as well.

4. After you're all done and happy with the setup, go to the gradient tool.

5. After clicking the gradient tool, new settings should appear. Click the gradient box, scroll down, and chose full spectrum.

6. Go back to your layers tab, click your top layer and with the gradient tool click anywhere on the page and drag. Dont worry, it wont look completely gay afterwords.

7. While in your layers tab, click your mode <While selecting your top layer, the colorful one> and chose color.

You dont have to use the blend tool neither, you can simply make a new layer, add color, make the mode color, and tada.
