What is my map about?
I'm going to be making a small map.
It will have;
Pool w/ two sides, one to swim and one with a underwater maze.
Disco, with 3 songs.
Secret Room
Soccer/FootBall
A big YELLOW line so no 1st cell crap.
And a Big Cage.

This will be my 1st map and it will take a long long time.
I'm going to ask if some SG map makers can help me make it, via team viewer to show me how, step by step.

Hmmm, A jailbreak map as your first map....
A jailbreak map requires some I/O - Inputs and outputs, for buttons, doors etc.
And will also need good brushwork and textures.

Well if you play Gmod and know alot about WireMod, then I/O and logics etc. Should be easy.
Good brushwork, needs a creative mind and possibily some sense in 3D.

That's very nice of you.
And I disagree, hosties takes surprisingly little I/O. All it really needs is the ability to have a button open a door. Can't think of much more I/O's you would need.

( Its needed, because " Its awesome leet hax with the awesome lasers )
But really, secrets are what attracts the pb maps, but not too much secrets.

But really, secrets are what attracts the pb maps, but not too much secrets.
Secrets can be fun, but can COMPLETELY ruin a map.
Secrets are easy as hell to find in sdk, and if it is a tiny secret that serves little to no point then why add it, and if it's a big secret then it can easily unbalance the game. So you need a happy medium for sure.

I know a way to annoy decompilers. :d
Why not make about 64 x 64 cubes and duplicate alot around the map make sure their all grouped and are nodraw. when you compile map, whoever decompiles it will see a bunch of nodraws and will have to delete loads of them, since you have the real version the cubes are grouped, but decompiled maps they are not.
This just annoys them, it dosen't work but its awesome.
