Seeing map when dead/spec

Alright. This has been really annoying me lately. Every time I die, or am in spec, I get a big view of the map. It covers most of the screen at times, and I'm wondering how I can get rid of this. Check the screenshots to see what I mean.

I press c, then i get some options appear at the bottom of my screen with which i can fiddle with the map etc
