Description: zm_blackmesa_escape is a CounterStrike: Source ZombieMod map. Like other escape maps, such as zm_ATIX_helicopter, zm_blackmesa_escape will takes its role of an escape. It requires teamwork to get your teammates and yourself safely out of the
Black Mesa research facility. You will arm a bomb to destroy Black Mesa and escape before it detonates and having aliens (The zombies of ZombieMod) trying to stop you won't make things easy.

Story: The Black Mesa facility was overrun with aliens from the resonance cascade. You play as a member of the HECU
(Hazardous Environment Combat Unit) which is an elite US Marine army sent to silence the facility.

Possible Work:

Secret Room - A Hidden password in the Secret Room that will allow you to enter the code to the Weapons Cache.

Weapons Cache - Passworded room with lots of weapons to hold of the aliens (Zombies).

"US Marine army"?

It's either the US Army or the US Marines... Marines and the Army are two different things.

Well,I say put Ninjas that would come from Egyptain temples,make them have TF2 guns and add traps to the map.That's what I would add if I was a map maker... :unsure:

I have no clue what you were trying to say.

First off this is impossible CSS does not have TF2 guns...

sounds sick, i say try and make it as balanced as possible, balance is a hard thing to achieve in an escape map and if you can do it this will be one of the best maps out there

I have decided to restart the map. The current map wasn't going to be balanced so I have restarted the maps making you start in the tram tunnels and taking a tram to Sector G Rocket Studies.

This map is looking pretty sweet. From what i can see, you obviously put a lot of work into your maps.

This map sounds amazing. I can't wait to play it. I suggest that their be traps though, if its going to be a sort of industrial facility, there should be building defenses. Maybe add a laser room, and have parts of the building simply blown off, so players can jump into these ruins and get into the vents and the "guts" of the building. This would make it feel apocalyptic, so players can feel like their covertly infiltrating a zombie infested facility! On the topic of traps(which I trailed off from) make it so players can seal off hallways(temporarily) with blast doors and add things like burst open pipes releasing blinding steam into the area, making it a creepy area and a place for hidden zombies. Of course, in a room like this, make vents that players can escape into to avoid these perils and ultimately make this map more exciting for the humans, as the mission is based on humans not only trying to escape, but they must destroy the map as well. For the zombies, make sure that they have their own special routes as well, I know I have said this a million times, but VENTILATION SHAFTS MAKE FOR A GOOD AND SCARY INDUSTRIAL MAP. Fill these vents with razor sharp fans spinning wildly and broken pipes which can temporarily be used to stop these fans and allow player passage. The map you are describing is the kind of map I really want to see, and if even 1 of the ideas I listed is used, this map will become the best map in history(In my opinion).

I am working on the last phase of the map, it'll be a part similar to blast pit as some of you have requested or hated :cute:

note: Once I finish the map I am going to do some testing on it. I will not go right ahead and hand it to Zmurder I am going to do a little beta testing, you're welcome to join for beta testing once it's done. Just PM me and I will give you the IP to the server the map will be tested on.

im down for beta testing. And Soviet is right, the ventilation shafts of the original half life made it scary as hell. Especially the part where the gargantua roars and crashes it on you
