Well. I've got some water in my map. It works perfectly from all normal aspects - above and while you're in it. But, it screws up heavily when looking at it from the side, through glass. When I look at it through the glass, it either shows the skybox, or shows just ... Blue. Any suggestions on how to make it work through the side?

The water is not sloped, and is nice and parallel. And thanks much for the tutorial - I'll try it out! I'll tell you how it turns out. (This will be tomorrow, while I have no internet..Sigh..)

Post the vmf? And are you sure that isnt the glass screwing up. To be honest it looks more like you used a mdl texture for the glass and it is screwing up how the water behind it looks.
Try the combine glass texture. That glass texture works most of the time for most ... things.

check out ze_paradise_v1 Its has real nice water texture its almost real!
There's a pic of it.

And add fishes to it if you want :P
There are fish later on in the map. :)
