What do you use to make the video:
1. Screen Camera program
2. Or converting hl2 movie format to wmv

If #1 What one (Maybe even a link plz :D )
If #2 How?

You can use a nice program called Fraps, which also tells you your *real* FPS in any PC game. It's free to use (videos have corner watermarks of "Fraps" in them).
