A few things.

I came across a few things in the surf server today that would be better changed. FIRST, would it be possible to increase the "buy time limit". An example of a map that would be better with this is flyin fortress. It is REALLY hard to beat the actual map THEN pro under 60-90 secs (I forget what the actual time is but it's too low). At the end of pro theres a buy zone and I don't even get a gun for beating it when, if you beat it the normal way, you get a deagle. Pro should be more rewarding.

Another thing is the RTV time limit. Could this be increased as well? We have the maps on the server for a reason. Play the maps to the full extent. It just irritates me when we get a new skill map and everyone RTVs for something like xdream ALL because it's too hard.

Maybe you could take RTV off when an admin is on? I dont know, just some ideas.

Agreed with both.. Fuck, i suck at surfing, but i still like almost all skill maps even if i can't do them. When rank whores come in and rtv to some shit like xdream it pisses me off so much. Its really not even a surf map.. Theres like, what? 3 ramps that you have to go on to beat it? Not fun at all, especially when we don't get to play on the skill map for more than 5 minutes.

Buy time limit would be nice too, if you can beat the map you deserve to get your weapons.. Though, i can't quite recall, but i think buy time limit might be a map maker thing, not server.

I'm mostly agreeing with Mobe just because Skill maps are fun and you need to keep trying to get it. But on the otherhand some people dont even like skillmaps so need to have a chance to RTV instead of going to another server.

I'm going to keep bumping this now. I'm raging because anytime I try and do a skillmap, it gets RTV'd as soon as I get in there.

We need a fix of some sort.

I agree with both because the first one sometimes it takes awhile to get to the end of a map and buy things and the second point because its stupid when people that want to play skill maps waiting for like maybe an hour or more then its finally a skill map then people just rtv like 80 seconds into the map because it is to hard for them but while the people that want to play a skill map wait patiently until everyone finally rtv's off a kill map.

We have these skill maps for a reason. If you guys want the server to be combat 24/7, change the maplist. I won't be in there, but it seems like that's what the players want.

I agree with the buy time limit, but people like me LOVE 10x and xdream I just hate the skills maps they are so boring and would pick combat surf over skill anyday. People always nominate 10x and xdream not just me.

EDIT: I don't think the maplist should be changed though because I'd say its 50/50 of people who want combat/skill.

I don't see why we need ranks. People say "it lets us see who's better." That has nothing to do with who is better or worse at surfing. It also causes A LOT of issues. More whining and bitching at campers, more whoring, and killing yourself when you're about to be killed <<< main one imo.

If you want some sort of ranking system, look into EGI and KSF's server. EGI's head, Slasher, apparently gave KSF the O.K. to use the timer. It would be cool to see who has completed what maps, if that would be possible.
