FUTURAMA IS BACK! Fox has announced it is reviving the series for 2010! Futurama did the exact same thing as Family Guy and it might have taken a bit longer to do they pulled it out! The "blockbuster" sales of their straight-to-DVD movies has prompted Fox to do the unpredictable again.

No the simpsons will continue to be ran. I doubt they'd cancel the show that helped fox actually make it to compete with the other networks.

Comedy Central has the contract rights for reruns of the first 5 seasons and the 4 straight to DVD movies. So I think they'd continue to run these till the contract is up. Family guy runs on like 4 networks but only first run episodes run on Fox.

Yep some examples of the Shitty shows they put on after Futurama got the axe

-Quadtuplits (i think that;s what they called the show)
-The Sarah Conner Chronicles
-Cracking Up

The list goes on.

But still good to see Futurama coming back, i remember watching this back when it was still running new episodes (when it was still on fox)

When Fox announced the return of Futurama earlier this year, fans were ecstatic. Shortly thereafter, the network let everyone down by saying they were recasting the voices due to salary issues and a decreased budget.

Thankfully, however, disaster has been averted. This very afternoon, Fox has closed new deals with the original castmembers. Says a rep for the series, "Maurice LaMarche announced that he would be returning on his Facebook page." Katey Sagal and Tress MacNeille's deals are official as well, and a Futurama rep tells us, "[We] hope to have deals with all five by end of day."

New episodes of Futurama should be ready by mid-2010.
