This is just a quik question. I personally LOVE your servers, and i have been playing your "run bitch run" server(ip 64.34.172.198:27015) for about 2-3 weeks now, And i normally run between 70-120 ping. For some reason now, im running 250-330(way to high, so i get autokicked). Is there any way to fix this? iv never had any problems before, and i really REALLY enjoy your escape maps, so please respond and lemme know what's up. :D ty for your time.

Check what programs you have running in the background. Typically this is the first and most common thing to fix.

I have nothing running other then what i normally do. I even restarted my comp, and closed out everything except steam, and the vital system to keep my computer running, yet i still lagg..

You didn't give much details to us about this so I'm just going to improvise.

-Restart your modem and router if you have one.

-Try checking your network logs for abnormal packet loss.

-Try checking if your connection wire is giving out. I recently replaced mine due to it lagging behind.

-If you do use a router. Make sure it is encrypted aka password protected. People could easily leach your connection if it is left unprotected.

-When you restart your modem or router run a speed test at www.speedtest.net (http://www.speedtest.net). Run another test in an hour or so and check if your connection speed significantly lowered. When that happened to me, I got a couple wires replaced and everything ran fine.

-Also, try checking your anti-virus and firewall. And see if they're conflicting with hl2.exe or steam.exe. Fixing that would probably solve your problem.

My friend had the same problem where he randomly started lagging one day for no apparent reason, and i helped him figure out someone was connecting to his network and like downloading a bunch of craph all at once (porn/torrents) causing his internet to practically shit itself. If you do have a rotar make sure it has a password set up on it preventing leechers.

Do you share your connection with roommates/family?

Your download and upload speeds are simply subpar. Most people have at least a 5MB connection these days.

Well, maybe you have tons of junk on your computer?

Go check out control panel and see what ya got that you don't need. Other than than, you cna lso check how much CPU your using out and find whats causing it.

I have the same problem, and oddly I have Verizon aswell. I lag on no other of your servers though.
