Wonder if their is any kind of rules for sprays?
I mean like can i get banned from the servers if i use any special kind of sprays? Cuz i got a warning from someone a while a go for using some spray.
And if their are any kind of rules for the sprays, what is it?

If you type motd it says that you can get banned if the admins find ur spray offensive or something. Correct me if I'm wrong.
if an admin finds a spray offensive they can ask a player to stop spraying it.
If they player doesn't then they can kick, if they still don't, they can issue a short ban.

What the motd means is that if we see a spray that we don't find suitable for the server, we can ban it from being used. Some people think that if you spray something inappropriate you get banned straight away.

Then there is no point in spraying anything if u can get banned after just one spray if unfortunat..... Their could be a spray that the person doesn't even know he's using....
That's why i almost got a ban....
Nobody should be getting instantly banned.
They must receive a warning first and given the chance to change it.

I said that's what people tend to think when they read the motd, not what is currently in place.

what most people do is they play on steamgamers and not even read the motd, its in the rules, if the admin thinks it offensive they can give you a warning and if you continue to do so they can ban or kick you.

Also a spray containing a racist word will be treated as racism, and as such has bigger punishment.

I'm not saying child pornography is right, i just don't think you should instantly ban... if you warn him to not use his spray anymore or ban him, its the same result anyway, the spray was already sprayed once you cant make that go away.

I think he's insinuating that he does not wish them to get the chance to change it.
In the same way he would be saying he doesn't want to just 'look away' if someone kills another person in front of him, he'd rather the person be punished for even doing it in the first place when it something that outrageous.
In a way I agree with him, I don't think we should allow a sick fuck that collects 10 years old and younger girls nude pictures and sprays them around to just get away with a slap on the wrist and a 'hey, no, bad'.
The rules have limits, just like our warn/kick/ban policy doesn't apply to hacking, I believe it should apply to something so extreme as child porn/dead baby pictures/ect. ect.
Shit that outright against the law shouldn't be allowed to be sprayed, no warnings.

doesnt matter... they should still be warned, remember thoese i showed you? i warned them twice and then banned, which i was allowed to increse after a small chat

As to child porn. Well i just ban and w8 till their ban is up and follow them around till i can ban them again and again and again.
It's like killing someone and saying-" oops sorry i tho it was funny at the moment it wont happen again".

CP's outright illegal and imho instantly permban once it's verified but at the same time you don't want to wind up like the US court system is right now going apeshit over girls in freaking bathingsuits. I myself have been told to ditch a few sprays because mainstream pornstars "looked underage" to certain admins and yknow it's not worth arguing over in the server but on the whole I'd say anything with developed secondary sexual characteristics should be assumed to be of legal age. To put it less anatomically: if there's grass on the field it's reasonable to assume you can play ball.
This isn't an ambiguous slippeyr slope, there's no fine line here, there's a great goddamn wall with armed sentries every 10 meters called "puberty" and it makes it REALLY OBVIOUS when someone's a bit young to be some dude's distraction spray.
It takes one look at the US court system right now to see exactly what we need to NOT do here, just stay sane and ignore the FUD and the obvious, legal, and reasonable solution presents itself.

I keep telling people not to use porn sprays for sole reason that I find them annoying and especially when some thirteen (13) year old kid goes "OH MY GOD, SHES HOT *MASTURBATE*" over mic, that's just out of control.. Yes, I actually came across a kid who went all "*Aaah*" on mic after seeing a porn spray, really disturbing in my opinion..

Again, if you knew someone collected pics of 8 year old girls nude and/or posing in their underwear, you'd really just ask them to change it and be fine with it?

Cuz permban is a bit hard for a spray.

IP addresses are worth nothing to the police. Even if they knew wtf to do with it they'd still be unable to use it for anything because IP's get reassigned pretty much randomly. Just look at my Reg request, I had the same IP as I Tend To Kill at the time.

It's still Illegal to have on ANY computer, I'm 15 and i see a lot of jail bait sprays, they don't disturb me because they are girls my age USUALLY, but i still warn not to use the spray again because it is illegal pornography and u can be arrested for it.

Which is why the standard of puberty is the best one. If the girl's got a developped vulva and tits it's normal and reasonable to assume in good faith she's 18+, if she looks like a 10 year old boy with an overzealous circumcision drop the banhammer.
I've banned someone for a spray before. I warned him that it was racist and he continued to spray it for the next week after I warned him many times every day. I finally got fed up and banned him.

I remember Super Nublet threatening to ban me over a movie spray waaaay back when on the zombie escape server. Granted the movie was Flower of Flesh and Blood, but a simple wrist cut was pretty tame compared to most of what the movie offered. :toung:

rules state that if anything is racist or if it offensive, then a warning should be issued. then if the offense continues then they get banned for a while. clean and simple =]

Not always the case. If something is extremely racist, as said in my earlier post, you can be banned right away for it.
