View Full Version : Mg_submarine_battle, Mg_D-Day

ive begun practice work on these maps( 20% done practicing to get good at mapping, this should take me a few more weeks, than a good month or two to finish both maps in full for release) , and wanted to give you guys a heads up on whats to come.

Mg_submarine_battle:
each team (CT T)gets a submarine, this submarine has a crew jobs. these are the jobs:
Capitan- drives the ship to not crash it
Weapons Commander- Fires loaded Torpedos Prevents: the enemy ship from hitting you with torpedos first
Torpedo Loader- Loads torpedos into the firing chamber[this part is just pressing and using visiuals] Prevents: Weapon Malfunction
Pressure stablisation crew- maintains control of submarine pressure with the left mouse button Prevents: dangerous depressurization causing impolsion.
Leak Crew- Stops floods by going to leaks and sealing them up with the E key. Prevents: drownage of all other crew
Passangers: everyone who didnt take a job, will die dramatically if the submarine crew fails Prevents: Nothing Causes: Dramatic Ending

the two submarines will have to battle it out in open oceans, with obstacles. weapons commander can only fire torpedos forwards, but can aim the periscope any direction.

Mg_D-Day

Two Teams CT T

Spawn in the spawn area, choose job with door system used in Mg_tron. choose airborne, or infantry for CT. airborne get gun and parachute, than spawn in plane with door closed, when door opens they paratroop behind enemy lines. infantry get gun and armor, spawn on navy boat, get in invasion boat, launch as soon as planes launch

Artillery, Anti Air, Sniper, MG, Tailcover for T

artillery gets knife, uses artillery to assault boats as they land, cannot aim at the beach[a stopper is in place] Anti air fires upon the paratrooper ships and trys to kill everyone inside by blowing it up, will crash if wing or tailpiece is gone, paratroopers can bail out if they survive the aircraft falling/hitting the ground. sniper gets an awp and snipes men on the beach. MG gets an M249 and fires upon men on the beach. Tailcover gets an IDF or a CV47 and covers the rear from paratroopers.

T objective- hold the beach for 5 min
CT objevtive- overtake T bunkers, artillery, and anti air. respawn is active.

Nice idea's but you need to be realistic for your first map.

thats sounds very complicated for a first map, considering all the things you want to make. one ohter big problem is that the submarines have to be underwater? in source the water doesnt behave like in the real world, like if you drop a box in it water will go right through the box, not be displaced

I guess they will have to float on the surface otherwise I will be hard to do.
