There is no writer, director or cast. It's in the very early stages; the studio purchased the rights to the film.

I'm trying to be optimistic about it. I do hope they follow the book, manga and movie or keep faithful to it. The only thing I think that may affect how this movie may be made is the tragedies that have happened at Columbine, VT and etc. We'll see who they hire as the director, producer and writer. That's technically the foundation into what can make or break the movie.

I Love love love Battle Royale, and I am sad to hear that its being remade in the U.S.
They have butchered enough Japanese movies, shows, anime already.
