View Full Version : [GIMP] How to Get New Font(s) On GIMP

Hello fellow SG Members, Guests, Admins, & Everyone else,

This thread will teach the beginners how to get new font(s) on your GIMP. This isn't very hard, but it takes a while to figure out if you are a knuckle head. Okay let's make sure you have GIMP. :biggrin1:

No what you want do is go to any Font(s) websites where you can download many Font(s). One of the best places to get good font(s) are www.dafont.com it's specialized just for font(s).

Okay You have found a FONT that suits you, download the file. Save it to your Desktop or wherever you will remember where the file(s) is.

Lets Say it's at our desktop what you want do is...

Once you have successfully dragged the font(s) to the folder, Restart or Open GIMP.

Then test out your new font in a plain sheet or a render. Double click the [A] Button and Click on the button where it shows 2 Letters then find your font.

you dont have to bother dragging the font to the font folder.

simply right click it and hit install.

Yeah I Agree. Anyways it's just a safer way. Yes I am making how to get new brushes. :)
