Windows media classic

I need to know how to configure it to run as speakers with 5.1
My sound is fixed, I will upload a tutorial about that later...
But my sound currently doesn't work properly on my windows media player OR my windows media classic...
I use classic to watch films and player to listen to music.
Any help would be welcomed!

The settings aren't found on your media player. They're found found in your sound properties located under Control Panel>Sounds (might be different for XP). Depending on your sound card or onboard audio chipset provider, they might offer their own software to handle these settings.

what zero said, and also, unless the files are encoded into 5.1, you wont hear anything beyond 2.1 unless you've got creative drivers or the like that emulates it.
