Does anyone have any tips for better FPS on L4D? I play on a noteook and average 40 FPS and really want at least 60. I know its a new game but if anyone has any tips???

Delete some unneeded programs on it, update your drivers, lower the graphical settings. That is what I can think of.

Actually thats not the problems.....I play on a laptop and I can play any game with 60FPS perfectly. The specs on your laptop are probably bad though.....all I can say is either get more RAM depending how much you have or lower the graphics in-game or get a better laptop. Though my gaming laptop was expensive there are lower priced opitions its all up to yah.

note that he said probably, as the vast majority of affordable laptops aren't made for gaming in the slightest.

You need a better computer, no way around it.

Thanks everyone. I was able to get my fps into the 100s by lowering my shader detail from very high to medium and by disabling vertical sync.

As for my system specs. I have a dell m1530
2.4 dual core
4gb ram
8600m GT (now oc)
7200 HD
running XP
and yes I play with the touchpad. :/
