i've started making a helicopter for my escape map but it wornt work properly. i cant get the main rotor to rotate around the Y-axis and the ropeladders wornt lower :(

What kind of entity do you have your rotors on? I think they should be door rotating one and you'll just have to play around with directions. As far as rope ladders...if you are using the rope entity I've always had trouble getting those to move or have any kind of good function other than looks.

both my rotors are func_rotating.
the ropeladders are just brushes, 6 brushes with a rope texture and 6 brushes surounding them with the ladder tooltexture. the problem with thoughs are, they are tied to func_tracktrain and wornt move from the first path_track to the next. i triggered it to lower when my helicopter passed a sertain part of them route.

Try the door rotating for the rotors, i think thats how they do most of the fan stuff on maps like deathrun.

With the rope ladder...is everything parented correctly? You might have to disable the ladder entity part till after the tracktrain actually completes what it does cause I am pretty sure that entity can't move.

i'll try the door thing now, also look through the parenting again.
btw the ladders isnt an entity, they are part of the func_tracktrain.

EDIT: i've gotten it all working with the exeption of the ladders, they come down but you cant crawl up into the helicopter

Scrap helicopter, make roflcopter instead!

nah i think i'll stick to my copter
