I would like to propose we give the apprentice's their own sub-forum (unless there already is one, in which case I just wasted my time writing this thread). With it they could ask for help regarding a certain situation, and receive advice/criticism on how to better themselves.
As of now, we tend to let them get on with it alone; however with their own sub-forum they would be more likely to understand the boundaries placed upon them. I am sure none of us want this to develop to the extent where we 'nanny' the apprentices as such, but of course with each query it can give us (the CAs) a clearer outline of an apprentice's personality and attitude.
For example, someone who is asking questions and then applying them in-game will be taken notice of, rather than someone who's in-game behaviour is somewhat questionable and who never asks for advice despite their clear lack of skill in managing the server. Of course, there are going to be those who don't need to ask for advice and can get on well by themselves, which will be just as good.
If this were to be implemented then I'm not sure whether to allow access to SG-A+ or just SG-A and CA+. Having every admin trying to answer a single question can be quite hectic. The usual result is conflicting viewpoints which eventually lead to derogatory remarks being thrown around. With just the CAs+ answering their questions it would be a lot more helpful, but this decision will have to be made by a higher up or Haggard himself.
All in all I think having a little sub-forum for them would be pretty helpful, especially when giving SG-As specific announcements. Stickies could be made outlining the fact that they (as Highsky put it) lack the 'benefit of the doubt' when it comes to stepping out of line, and this could help keep them on their toes which could lead to them actually making an effort to graduate, which in turn makes our lives a hell of a lot easier too.
Comments? Insults? Death threats?
